Town Council Meetings
Regular sittings take place at 7:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month in the main room of the George-McLeish Community Centre, 20 Morningside Avenue. When the fourth Monday falls on a holiday, such sitting shall be held on the following Tuesday or at a later date set by Council in accordance to the law.
Council sittings are public. Citizens attending a sitting may put verbal questions to council members. These questions can be answered immediately by the Mayor or a designated council member. If additional information or verifications are required to answer, the question will be noted and answered at a later date. At Senneville, a question period takes place at the beginning of the sitting and a second one at the end. The rules governing the conduct of council meetings are set in "Bylaw # 461 on the internal governance of unicipal council sittings."
