Ticks and Lyme disease

Ticks and Lyme disease

Since 2011, there has been an increase in the number of cases of Lyme disease in Quebec, as well as an increase in the number of people who have contracted the disease in the province.

The available data confirms the presence of populations of Ixodes scapularis ticks established and infected by Borrelia burgdorferi in certain areas, especially in the Montérégie region.
