The municipality closely monitors areas at risk at all time.
The General Manager, Technical Services and Public Works, Communications and the emergency coordination center of the Montreal agglomeration all work together. In the field, various interventions are put in place: checking and recording of water levels, installation of auxiliary pumps (if required), cleaning of the water networks, observation rounds, road protection, etc. During a flood, water levels may rise sharply. Do not wait until the water level has reached a critical height before reacting.
