THE MONTREAL CIVIL SECURITY CENTER ANNOUNCED THAT IT REACHED INTERVENTION 2 MODE AS OF THURSDAY, APRIL 25TH, 2019.
According to the latest information, the most at-risk period would be from Friday, April 26th to Monday, April 29th, 2019, inclusively.
Weather forecasts for the next few days predict significant rainfall of 20 to 50 mm in the Ottawa River watershed. This precipitation will substantially increase the water flow of the Ottawa River, which will have a direct and rapid impact on Lac des Deux-Montagnes water levels.
If the weather forecasts materialize, it will increase the level of Lac des Deux-Montagnes to the major flood threshold and this flow of water will be fast and unpredictable.
It is imperative that ALL residents whose homes are in the risk zone implement ALL necessary measures to protect their homes.
