Special planning zone (SPZ) 3rd draft ministerial order

Today, August 26, 2019, will be published a third draft Ministerial Order in connection with the Special planning zone (ZPZ). This project is another turning point in the mechanism put in place to address the remaining inaccuracies in the delineation of the flooded territory during the spring floods of 2017 and 2019. It is followed by a consultation period of 15 days during which municipalities and citizens can manifest. We strongly encourage you to consult the new cartography to validate the delineation of the zone on your properties at the following address: https://www.cehq.gouv.qc.ca/zones-inond/ZIS-20190715/index.html

For concerns already raised by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MAMH) until August 19, 2019, MAMH and the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MELCC) continue to analyze the requests received. Following the completion of the analysis of the latter, another ministerial decree is expected next September.

The government remains attentive to its citizens and offers them the opportunity to comment via zis2019@mamh.gouv.qc.ca

Important note: The municipality and citizens have 15 days during which they can manifest.
